Roles & Responsibilities of Waqfat-e-Nau : On 6th April 2019, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (aba), addressed the concluding session of the UK National Waqfat-e-Nau Ijtema organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at UK.

They should know that their parents asked Allah to give them a child with the intention and prayer that the child would become a great mujahid for training the future generations”.

Waqf-e-Nau is a unique scheme in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, launched by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV in 1987, where parents pledge their unborn children to dedicate their lives to the service of Islam and the community before birth.

What are Ahmadiyya Beliefs?

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is one of the 73 sect’s of Islam. They are Muslims who believe in the Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian. This community was founded in 1889 by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as). It is the fastest growing Islamic community worldwide, and has members in over 200 countries, totalling an estimated 20 millions. The current head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is His Holiness, Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba).

Ahmadi Muslims follow the true teachings of Islam from the Holy Quran and the Holy Propeht (as). They follow the holy scriptures and teachings that other Muslims follow. However, one of the DIFFERENCES from other Muslims is that they believe that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), the Promised Messiah(as) of the latter days has arrived, he founded and established the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1889. This was prophesied by the Holy Prophet (saw). Ahmadi Muslims also believe in the 5 Pillars of Islam and the Six Articles of Faith, similar to other Muslims.

Waqf-e-Nau children are encouraged to pursue both religious and worldly education. Emphasis is placed on moral training, academic excellence, discipline, and spiritual development so they can serve the Jamaat and society in various professional and religious fields.

4. How can a Waqf-e-Nau serve the Jamaat in the future?

Those who continue their Waqf may serve as missionaries, teachers, doctors, engineers, administrators, or in other capacities according to their abilities and the needs of the Jamaat. All service is carried out with sincerity, obedience to Khilafat, and dedication to humanity.

5. What is the main objective of Tehrik-e-Waqf-e-Nau?

The main objective is to prepare a spiritually strong, morally upright, and well-trained generation that is ready to serve Islam and humanity with devotion, sacrifice, and excellence, ensuring the future strength and mission of the Jamaat.
